Trilemma describes itself as a 'times tables' game but it offers much more. Like Addendum, it is a multi-level maths game:
Level one asks questions relating to the 2, 5, and 10 times multiplication tables and related division facts.
Level two helps children reinforce the remaining multiplication facts: 3, 4, 6, 7, 8 and 9 times tables.
Level three focus on using and understanding the following mathematical language correctly: prime numbers, factors, multiples, square numbers and square roots, odd and even numbers greater than and less than and rounding numbers to the nearest ten.
counters in a line: horizontal, vertical or diagonal - as in Connect 4. You can remove an opponent’s counter if it provides an answer to one of your questions, so the game really can change at any time which adds an extra element of fun. Your child will probably soon forget that it is a maths game he/she is playing!
Trilemma consists of a game board, 60 multi-level cards, 4 ready reckoners, 40 coloured counters and the rules leaflet. For even more fun, use the Addendum cards as a booster pack to Trilemma to reinforce a wider range of mental maths questions.
