There are 4 sets of Multiplication Snap:

2s and 4s Times Tables Multiplication Snap

3s and 6s Times Tables Multiplication Snap

4s and 8s Times Tables Multiplication Snap

5s and 10s Times Tables Multiplication Snap

Each snap game will go through all the possible ways of presenting the relevant multiplication facts within that set of tables.  They have been carefully put together to help learners see that they can double the easier tables to get the harder facts: if they know the 2 times tables, they can double the answer in the 2s to get the appropriate answer in the 4 times tables.

In order to get the most out of each game my advice would be to work through the 3 suggested activities in each pack:

  1. Match the cards to see which multiplication facts give the same answer.  Learners are often surprised by what they find and this activty really boosts their confidence.
  2. Identify the facts that are not well known and concentrate on these.
  3. Play Snap when learners are confident with the answers.  For best results, players should say the answer aloud as they place down a card as this will reinforce the answer and allow other players to check that the answer is correct.
