Do qualifications matter when a child has a tutor?

The research is very clear that ‘programmes involving trained teachers have twice the effect of those deploying teaching assistants or volunteers.’ (Elliot, L & Higgins S in ‘What Works? Research and Evidence for Successful Teaching 2019).

It is also essential that your child/children trust the tutor and want to learn with her.  It is very rare for there to be a problem between Colette and her students and this would be noticed during the first session.  Should this happen, we will just agree to conclude the lesson and not do any further follow up.
